Hogeschool van Utrecht (HvU) was established in 1988 and was founded after the merger of several universities of applied sciences in Utrecht Province and Utrecht City. The school has 27,800 full-time undergraduate students, 5,019 part-time or dual undergraduate students, 2,801 master’s students and 565 associate degree students. More than one fifth of the students are working people.
